A new report says employment growth in Kansas has been lagging behind the national average. Wichita State University’s Center for Economic Development and Business Research updated its employment forecast Monday to show that employment in Kansas grew by 1.1 percent over the past 12 months, but grew by 2.1 percent nationwide during that time. It projects that Kansas will have 1.4 percent job growth this year.
