Warm Weather Behind Wheat Emergence

Unseasonably warm fall weather is leading the winter wheat crop to emerge quickly in Kansas. Roughly 87 percent of the 2015 wheat crop has now been planted. About 72 percent has already emerged, and 65 percent of it is rated either good or excellent.
