
Still no ruling from the Kansas Supreme Court on whether the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate has to be taken off the ballot. The court’s consideration of Chad Taylor’s petition to avoid being listed as a candidate in November comes with counties facing a Saturday deadline to begin sending ballots to military personnel overseas. Republican Secretary of State Kris Kobach is pushing to keep Taylor on the ballot, saying he didn’t specifically state he couldn’t serve if elected, which is part of the legal requirement, he says.
