Trespassing on CCC campus reason for Parson warrant

andy lambertJanuary 31, 2014

The Colby Police Department has confirmed that they have taken 22-year-old Brandon Parson into custody.

According to Chief Ron Alexander, Parson is being held on outstanding warrants out of Thomas County. The warrant stemmed from a September 2013 case in which he allegedly trespassed at Colby Community College after being instructed not to be on campus.

Parson was a former CCC student, Alexander said.

Authorities received a call from residents in the 1300 block of West 3rd Street that a man matching Parson’s description ran out of their garage around 6:30 pm. Screen shot 2014-01-31 at 12.16.41 PM

Officers pursued Parson into an alley east of the 1000 block of South Range in Colby. He was taken into custody at approximately 8:24 pm.

Additional charges are pending.
