State to change the way they notify about vehicle tags

Kansas officials claim changing the way the state notifies people that their vehicle tags are expiring could save a half-million dollars a year. The change would involve sending a generic, one-message-for-everybody postcard instead of the personalized letters that go out now. If counties wanted to put out a customized letter of their own, they’d still have that option.
