State gives more money to select schools to cover expenses

Three more school districts get extra money from the state to cover unexpected expenses. Drops in property tax income sparked the requests from Mulvane and Garden City, while the Twin Valley schools in Ottaw County needed extra repairs. The districts have to apply for the money and it’s up to the state Financial Council to decide.
