ST. FRANCIS, Kan — The St. Francis Indian football showed once again why they are one of the best 8-man teams in the state as they cruised to a 52-0 win over Hill City on Friday night. The game was called at halftime due to the 45 point rule.
The Indians dominated in all facets of the game starting on offense were they accumulated 357 total yards, all of it coming on the ground. Junior Shadyron Blanka ran for 187 yards on just ten carries and ended up scoring four touchdowns, three of them over 40-plus yards. Teammate Brady Dinkel also went over 100 yards with 150 rushing yards on twelve carries with two touchdowns. Dinkel also scored a touchdown on a 67 yard punt return.
The Sainty offense was so good that they scored on each of their six possessions with five of their six drives not lasting longer than five plays.
The Indians continued to flex their muscles on defense holding the Ringnecks to just 66 total yards of offense, 55 of it coming on the ground, and zero points. The Ringnecks were only able to get four first downs on the evening.
It was the seventh shutout pitched by the Sainty defense this season, which has only allowed 6 touchdowns all season & just 4.5 points per game.
St. Francis now leads the all-time series against Hill City ten to one. Ringnecks end their season at 6-4. Indians improved to 10-0 and will meet Hodgeman County in the sectional round next Friday. St. Francis won 30-20 over Hodgeman County in the same game last year.
