Spike In Soybean Plants; Corn Sags

Farmers in Kansas aren’t planting nearly as much corn this spring while also planting the second highest soybean acreage on record. The National Agricultural Statistics Service says roughly 4.25 million acres of soybeans are in. That’s up 18 percent from last year. Corn growers planted 4.1 million acres this season, off 5 percent from 2013.
