Schools expected to ask for more money

More than three dozen Kansas school districts are expected to ask top state officials for more money due to budget problems. 22 districts have already asked for extra aid, pointing to unexpected drops in local tax revenue because of declines in the priice of oil. Legislative leaders and the governor meet next Monday to consider the requests.
