Inside one of two above ground Federal Emergency Management Agency approved tornado shelter/classrooms at West elementary, Goodland School Board members saw the wall strength and concrete reinforced ceiling, just three weeks ahead of the Kindergarteners scheduled occupation of the room. Contractors have more inside wiring and plumbing work ahead in the two rooms, designed to withstand winds over 200 miles per hour in tornadic storms.
