Northwest Kansas and the Tri-State region have been in dire need of moisture for quite some time…and Mother Nature has accommodated that need over the past 3 days.

As of this writing, the National Weather Service in Goodland has reported about 6.5 inches of moisture over the past 3 days, with more rain forcasted Friday and into the weekend.

Goodland and Burlington, CO shattered their single day rainfall total yesterday with over 4 inches. Other areas in western and northwestern Kansas have reported rainfall totals of 2-6+ inches.

The forecast calls for a 100% chance of rain today…40% chance tonight…30% chance Saturday…and a 50% chance Saturday night into Sunday morning. There is currently a flood warning in effect until 12:30PM (MDT).
