Rain Slows Wheat Harvest

The National Agricultural Statistics Service says the winter wheat harvest is off to a soggy start, with about 2 percent of the crop cut now. That’s ahead of the pace for 2013, but way behind average, which is 19 percent by mid-June. Across Kansas, roughly 28 percent of the wheat crop is mature.
