Authorities made an arrest over the weekend in connection with a western Kansas murder. 2 men and woman, all from Fort Collins, Colorado, were arrested in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in field in rural Hodgeman County near Hanston.All 3 suspects are in jail in Colorado awaiting extradition to Kansas.
A teen missing in SW Kansas was found safe. The Garden City Police Department had been looking for a missing 15-year-old girl. The agency reports the teen was found safe.
Police in Liberal are asking for the public’s help in locating a 31-year-old man. Paulino Castro-Pablo is wanted in connection with an alleged aggravated assault. Authorities caution that he might be armed.
A weekend police chase in Western Kansas that ended with a crash is under investigation. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2000 Lexus that was being pursued by a Grant County Deputy and a Ulysses Police officer crashed. The car left the road, catapulting into a power line, and flipped several times. Power lines were trapped underneath the Lexus after it came to rest a field. A passenger in the car was transported to the hospital in Ulysses.
