The Central Route of the 27th Annual Run for the Wall rumbled through northwest Kansas this weekend, making an overnight stop in Goodland and a fuel stop in Oakley.

The bikers dodged rain and wind to arrive in Goodland Saturday night about 6:00PM (mountain) where they were greeted by the community, served dinner at the Armory and spent the night.

Sunday morning the riders followed a parade route out of Goodland and hit Interstate-70 eastbound to Oakley. A stop in Oakley at exit 70 included a couple of brief ceremonies while the bikers fueled and then continued east.

The Run for the Wall brings awareness to Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action. There are three routes that all start in Ontario, CA and ultimately converge at Arlington National Cemetery near the nation’s capital on Memorial Day Weekend.
