Opponents Rally Against KPERS Proposal

Several dozen retirees rally at the state capitol to oppose Governor Brownback’s proposal to delay $58 million in state payments to the public pension program. That would put off the break-even point for KPERS until 2043. Despite the opposition, the state treasurer is endorsing the governor’s plan to delay those pension payments.
