A groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday at the Northwest Tech campus in Goodland.
Recent boosts in Northwest Tech’s student population have increased demand for classroom space and athletic facilities. The new building will house three general education classrooms, office spaces, locker rooms, an athletic training room, as well as wrestling facilities. Northwest Tech’s men and women’s wrestling teams currently practice at the armory and hold home matches in the student union. Starting next academic year, Northwest Tech’s wrestling program will be on campus, as the new building will serve as both their practice and competition facility. Completion of the building is scheduled for August.
Northwest Tech still does not have a name for the new facility. As mentioned at the Endowment Auction, in return for a major tax-deductible contribution there is a naming opportunity.
