The uninsured rate in Kansas is down, at least a bit according to a new Gallup poll. 11.3 percent of people surveyed in the first half of the year said they didn’t have health insurance, compared to 12.5 percent of Kansans two years ago. Survey analysts believe the uninsured rate would be even lower if Kansas had expanded Medicaid, set up its own insurance exchange, or both.
