New KSHSAA Classification Announced

TOPEKA, Kan — The Kansas State High School Activities Association announced the classifications for the 2019-2020 school year and the 2020-2021 football classifications on Wednesday.

Only two schools school in the extreme northwest Kansas region was moved for the 2019-20 school year. Decatur Community will move down from 2A to 1A while Hill City going from 1A to 2A.

Only one area school will be making a classification change for the 2020-2021 football season. St. Francis will be dropping from 8-man division one to 8-man division two.

Mid-Continent league school, Ellis will be moving up to 2A.
