Nationally ranked CCC volleyball sweeps Pratt

A balanced attack on both sides of the net helped the Colby Community College volleyball team sweep Pratt Saturday at the Community Building, 25-11, 25-15 and 25-17.

Alex Merle had a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs for the 18th-ranked Trojans.  Nina Gorgijevska contributed 16 digs and Kyndal Bacon notched 29 assists to go with four kills and three service aces.

CCC remains in second place in the Jayhawk Conference behind No. 6 Seward County. The Trojans, 19-1 overall and 10-1 in the Jayhawk Conference, head into Hutchinson Monday for a 6:30 p.m. matchup with the Blue Dragons (12-10, 7-3). The two squared off Sept. 12 in Colby with the Trojans winning in five sets.
