Medicaid Drugs At Center Of KS Senate Debate

The full Kansas Senate takes up a bill requiring a review of Medicaid’s mental health prescriptions. It also creates an advisory committee to come up with guidelines on drugs for the people covered in that program. The idea is to cut the cost of the prescriptions in order to save the state money, as well as potentially curb misuse of those drugs.
