Marijuana bill set aside

andy lambertMay 27, 2015
It appears a plan to ease a bunch of Kansas’ laws on marijuana won’t be considered again this legislative session. The Senate Majority Leader points to the budget debate, and says that’s going to take up the bulk of lawmakers’ time, so they can’t give the marijuana bill the attention it would need. The bill already passed the House and would decrease penalties for marijuana possession, order a state study of industrial hemp and allow limited production and sale of hemp oil to treat seizures.
