Legislature Considers More Hurdles To Divorce

A committee in the state House is holding hearings on the topic of divorce and whether Kansas has made it too easy to untie the knot. Some opponents of the state’s “no fault” divorce law are pushing for counseling requirements or longer waiting periods before couples can get a divorce. Supporters of the status quo argue that’s just another hurdle and it’s not the state’s business anyway.
