Lawmakers Focus On KS Budget

State lawmakers are knuckling down on the next state budget now that the legislative session is halfway over. There’s a projected shortfall of nearly $600 million in the next state budget, and lawmakers will have to decide how to tackle that as well as whether they’ll backtrack on personal income tax cuts that the governor pushed for back in 2012.
