Lawmaker Promises Streamlined Appeals In Wake Of Supreme Court Decision

The chairman of the Kansas Senate’s judiciary committee promises to push again next year to speed up appeals in capital punishment cases. This comes right after the state supreme court tossed out three of the four convictions against two brothers accused of murdering four people in Wichita back in 2000. The high court also dismissed the death sentence in the case.
