Kansas School District Defends Conference Expense

The Garden City School District is defending its decision to send 61 teachers and administrators to a conference in Florida that cost taxpayers more than $100-thousand. District officials claim the trip was necessary to make the Garden City schools a model district, and that the conference run was paid for with grants as well as money from the budget.
