Kansas budget plan clears one hurdle

A plan for balancing the Kansas budget clears a committee in the state House. It would increase the sales tax and cut the income tax break that Governor Brownback pushed for back in 2012. A committee sent the proposal to the full House without a recommendation on whether it should be passed.
