Kansas agency forced to downsize

The Kansas Bioscience Authority is halting new investments and cutting half of its staff because of a reduction in state dollars. The agency was created years ago to invest public money in the biotech industry with the goal of creating startup companies and attracting jobs. It no longer has a full-time scientist on staff.
