Four people are hurt after a crash in Logan County. The KHP reports a woman from Oakley turned her Lexus in front of a Hays man’s sedan, causing the collision that sent everybody in the two vehicles to the hospital. Two of the passengers in the car didn’t have a seat belt on.
Hundreds gather at a town hall meeting with Senator Jerry Moran in Johnson County. The senator told he would’ve voted against the House bill that would repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. Moran said he’s waiting on the final edition of the Senate’s bill before deciding how he’ll vote on that. Senator Pat Roberts hasn’t held a town hall since the start of the Trump Administration.
Jewell County is the scene of the two latest earthquakes in Kansas. The first one yesterday morning was a magnitude 3.8, centered 5 miles southeast of Mankato. The second one was just a couple miles away, measuring 3.1.. That brings the total tally to 9 earthquakes this month, tying with May.
A former high school coach gets 36 months of probation for sexting with a student. Todd Kaiser also has to register as a sex offender. He was the head cross country and track and field coach at Great Bend High School, and pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a child after a nude picture of a minor was found on his cell phone.
Police look for the driver of a car that got stuck on train tracks near Wichita and ran off before impact. A passenger in that car died in the crash, and now officers hope to identify the driver. Anybody with info should contact Wichita Police.
