Heavy snow system moving into Tri-State area overnight

A storm system is predicted to move into the area this evening bringing significant amounts of snowfall to portions of northwest Kansas, southwest Nebraska, and eastern Colorado. Screen shot 2014-01-30 at 2.58.41 PM

 

Compacted snow could be an issue tomorrow on Interstate 70. Goodland and Colby are expected 3 to 5 inches of snow. Areas closer to the Kansas, Colorado, and Nebraska border could see up to 8 inches.
