Kansas Governor Sam Brownback on Friday, April 26, will visit the ranch of Jaret Moyer, chairman of the Kansas Beef Council, near Emporia to sign a proclamation declaring May 2013 as Beef Month. Kansas is one of the nation’s top states for cattle raising and beef production. There are more than 5.85 million cattle on ranches and in feedyards in Kansas, and the beef cattle sector generated more than $7 billion in cash receipts in 2011.
Listen for promotional announcements throughout the month of May on Rocking M Radio and Kansas Farm and Ranch Radio that recognize the beef industry and it’s producers.
