Governor Orders Flags Flown at Half-Staff on Sunday, Oct. 6 in Honor of National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service

Topeka – In accordance with Executive Order 10-12, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff from sun-up to sun-down on Sunday, Oct. 6 in honor of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.

“Firefighters perform acts of heroism every single day and some have made the ultimate sacrifice for our communities,” Governor Brownback said. “They deserve our respect and recognition.”
