Governor Jeff Colyer orders flags lowered for Memorial Day

For Immediate Release:

Topeka – In accordance with Executive Order 10-12, Governor Jeff Colyer today ordered flags in Kansas to be flown at half-staff on Monday, May 28, 2018 from sun-up until noon in honor of Memorial Day.

 

“It is a great honor to live in this country with the many freedoms we enjoy every day,” said Governor Colyer. “Today we remember the men and women who sacrificed their lives in defense of those freedoms. We honor their lives, their bravery, and their dedication to our country. They are heroes and will always be remembered as such.”

 

Note that flags should be lowered at sun-up and returned to full staff at noon.
