
Topeka – In accordance with Executive Order 10-12, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff from sun-up to sun-down on Wednesday, April 15 in honor of a Day of Remembrance for President Abraham Lincoln, following a proclamation issued by President Barack Obama.
The White House on April 14 issued a proclamation calling upon all Americans to honor the “life and legacy” of President Abraham Lincoln, and for flags to be displayed at half-staff on April 15. Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, served from March 1861 until his assassination on April 15, 1865.
