Goodland Police seeks help from public in theft investigation

The Goodland Police Department is currently investigating a theft that occurred sometime after the evening of Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Chambers Park located in the 1400 block of Center Street, Goodland, Kansas. The suspect(s) removed two lion statues that were sitting by the benches located by the fountain. Each lion is positioned on a base sitting with the right paw extended outward. Please see the attached photograph of the lions for a better description.

The Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating the suspect(s) responsible for this theft and to help return the lion statues to their rightful place. The Department asks that anyone with any information about this case contact the Police Department at (785) 890-4570 or the Crimestoppers hotline at (785) 890-5665.  You may remain anonymous, if you wish.  Anyone who provides information that leads to arrest in this case is eligible for a cash reward, even if they wish to remain anonymous.
