Goodland golf comes up just short of GWAC title

HUGOTON, KS– Four strokes was all that separated Goodland and the 2018 GWAC golf champion Ulysses as the Tigers held on to win by four strokes Thursday afternoon.

Cowboys Garin Ihrig shot a 76 to place 1st and take home the individual title. Ihrig’s teammate Ryan Lalicker lost in a playoff to Ulysses Austin Perez to place 3rd.

Colby was led by Carter Stanley who shot an 86 and edged out team Jason Krannawitter who shot an 87 to place seventh & eighth respectively. Eagles as a team finished third with a team score of 375.

Ulysses 344, Goodland 348, Colby 375, Scott City 384, Holcomb 391, Hugoton 399
