Frazier Glenn Miller guilty; Loewen sentenced

andy lambertSeptember 1, 2015
It took jurors less than two hours to find Frazier Glenn Miller guilty of murdering three people outside a pair of Jewish sites in Overland Park. That may not terribly surprising, considering he admitted to all of it. Miller has been representing himself and gave a rambling closing argument in which he told jurors he was “floating on a cloud” after the killings. The penalty phase starts today, and could last several days as Miller has some out-of-state witnesses he wants to testify.
A Wichita man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for planning a bomb attack at Mid-Continent Airport. Former avionics technician Terry Loewen pleaded guilty in June. He was arrested in 2013 after authorities say he tried to drive a van filled with inert explosives onto the airport tarmac.
