Flags to be lowered Saturday for fallen soldier from Oakley

In accordance with Executive Order 10-12, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff from sun-up to sun-down on Saturday, May 25 in honor of Sgt. 1st Class Trenton L. Rhea.  His funeral will be held on Saturday, May 25 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Sedalia, Missouri.

Born in Hays, Kansas and a graduate of Oakley High School (KS) and University of Central Missouri, Sgt. 1st Class Rhea was a member of the 603rd Military Policy Company, 530th Military Police Battalion, 300th Military Police Brigade, 200th Military Police Command, U.S. Army Reserve, Saint Joseph, Missouri.

Rhea drown while crossing a river during military operations Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.  He is survived by his wife, Leah, and their three children.
