Authorities find the body of a Kansas woman who went missing after skydiving in northern Oklahoma. Officials aren’t saying where the body was found.
It’s believed a vehicle inside the building sparked the fire that caused extensive damage to an auto auction in Hays. Nobody hurt in that fire, which crews spent more than six hours working to put out. The task was made particularly difficult by the fact that the nearest fire hydrant was nearly half a mile away.
A teenager from Washington State recovers in the hospital after running a stop sign in Oakley, and colliding with a semi truck. The driver of the big rig, from Garden City, wasn’t hurt.

A Kansas foster care and family preservation contractor is beginning an internal review of allegations raised in a federal lawsuit that one of its caseworkers sexually harassed and coerced a mother seeking to regain custody of her children. The head of St. Francis Community Services discussed the allegations in a statement.
Governor Brownback gets low marks in a new poll conducted by researchers at Fort Hays State. 77 percent of respondents were at least somewhat dissatisfied with the governor’s performance. 79 percent wouldn’t vote for Brownback again, if they had the opportunity.
