Exodus of Kansas teachers

Kansas is seeing a surge this summer of teachers leaving for jobs in other states, while many more are deciding to retire early or get out of education altogether. The State Department of Education claims there are about 1600 more teachers leaving the state or the profession this year than just a couple years ago.
