The state updates the drought status across Kansas. Last year all 105 counties were in some level of drought. Now most of the state is out of that, with the western third or so still listed in drought watch, where it wouldn’t take too much dry weather to start running into problems again. In a statement from Sam Brownback’s office, we’re told the Governor’s Drought Response Team will continue to watch the situation closely and work to minimize the effects of dry weather.
