Debit/Credit Card Scam

The Colby Police department has asked that you please be aware of a debit/credit card scam.  Several citizens have been receiving phone calls advising them that their debit/credit card is about to become expired, suspended, blocked, recalled, etc. and that they are to hit button 1 for further instructions. If you do as directed you will shortly be asked to submit your account information.  DO NOT give out any account information over the phone.  In fact, some of the individuals that have received these calls don’t have a debit/credit card.  If anyone receives such a call, DO NOT respond, just hang up.  You should contact your lender/bank that has issued your card, if you have any questions or concerns.
