In a statement, the Sherman County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau says it’s getting out of the details of the Governor’s Ringneck Classic Pheasant Hunt, which is scheduled in the county in November. While the event goes forward, the statement says the Convention & Visitor’s Bureau won’t be involved in directing it, only promotion. According to the statement from the CVB’s Roxie Yonkey, the group’s board isn’t commenting.

UPDATE: 10:24 1/16/2015
Event chair Carol McClure-Schutte, speaking with the Today In Kansas Report, says the event continues to have the full promotional support of the Convention & Visitor’s Bureau.
