Curtis’ First Payment for helping on a Gardner, Ks Fair radio broadcast at 12 years of age….was two cartons of Chocolate Milk!
Since then he can buy his own milk. Curtis has been on the air at stations in Eastern Kansas, near St. Louis and Washington, D. C. He also spent 4 years as News Anchor- Director and Nightly Weatherman on West Nebraska television. Radio in Topeka was his next stop followed by Dayton-Cincinatti, Ohio and then on to Wichita Ag-Networks. Curtis was on the air mornings on KXXX in Colby and since 1997 he has been at KLOE-KKCI-KWGB, Goodland.
His Mornings on KLOE-KKCI are unpredictable, but you can rely on the Good Neighbor Hour, the KLOE Marketplace and many interviews with newsmakers, local school students and events in the Tri-State listening community.
For sure, Curtis will wake you up weekday mornings and shine in times of severe weather coverage on the high plains.
Curtis looks forward to recording and sharing parts of local school concerts, remote broadcasts and meeting listeners of all ages.
Oh Yes and Curtis shares his graddaughter stories now and then too.
(Who doesn’t like a good grandchild story anyway ???)
