ULYSSES, Kan — Despite the tough weather and course conditions the Goodland Cowgirl golf team found a way to win it’s fourth straight tournament to start the season.
Senior Kerrigan Rudolph led the charge for GHS shooting an 87 for 3rd place. Fellow senior’s Peyton Belden shot 97 for 8th and Colby Perryman shot a 101. Brooke Livengood shot 106. While, Briana Woodrow shot a 124. Ashtin McClung shot 125.
“All in all, the girls did a good job today. The wind was blowing hard and it was really hot,” said head coach Connie Livengood. “The course was not in tip-top shape. The rough was tough to play out of and the greens had been plugged, so quite an adjustment.”
The Cowgirl golf team will split up next week as some of the team will play at the Colby Tournament while other will play at Russell’s Tournament, both on this coming Monday the 23rd.
