
HUGOTON, KS — It was a great start to the 2019 golf season for the Goodland Cowgirls as they placed first as a team at the Hugoton Golf Invite on Thursday.
Cowgirls as a team shot a 188 and had four ladies medal individually. Senior Kerrigan Rudolph led the way placing fifth with a 41. Fellow senior Brooke Livengood shot a 47 and placed fifth. Senior Peyton Belden placed ninth shooting a 49 and senior Colby Perryman took twelfth with a 51.
Briana Woodrow and Ashtin McClung didn’t place but shot a 57 and 65 respectively. Woodrow’s 57 was a personal best.
Cowgirls also had three ladies place in the JV tournament.
Head Coach Connie Livengood said, “it was a great way to start the season.”
Cowgirls will next play at home on Tuesday at Sugar Hills as part of there own tournament.
