JOHNSON, KS — On a cool and windy fall day the Goodland Cowgirls golf team competed at the Stanton County Tournament, Tuesday. Once again GHS took home a second place finish behind Syracuse.
Goodland had five girls place. Colby Perryman shot an even 100 to place 9th Individually and lead the Cowgirls. Peyton Belden also shot a 100 to place 10th. Brooke Drennen shot a 102 for 11th place. Bram Perryman shot a 104 for 12th place. And Sara Syverson placed for the first time in her varsity career shooting a 106, a personal best, for 13th place. Keyly Jarrett shot a 111.
“Not a bad day when you medal five girls, though, so the girls just got to get better and focus on their shots ” said Coach Connie Livengood.
Next, Goodland will compete in the Lakin Tournament this coming Saturday.
GOODLAND, KS — The Goodland Cowgirl volleyball team had a solid night at home on Tuesday evening hosting their own quad. Goodland was able to defeat Weskan in two sets. And then maybe got the win of the season so far, beating the number-8 team in 1A Wheatland/Grinnell, two sets to none. But the night would end with a loss getting swept by a team they beat earlier in the season, Wray.
Cowgirls (6-12) head to the Oakley Tournament on Saturday.
