ULYSSES, KS — With five ladies placing inside the top ten the Goodland Cowgirls golf team took home a first place finish at the Ulysses Invitational. Led by Kerrigan Rudolph, who shot an 84 on way to taking home the individual title, GHS shot a combined 372 as a team. Bram and Colby Perryman tied with both of their personal bests shooting 94. Colby placed 4th on a card play off while Bram got 5th. Peyton Belden shot a 100 which is her personal best in season getting 7th. Brooke Drennan shot a 101 as her personal best getting 9th. And Keyly Jarrett shot a 109.
“I was really proud of the girls today not because of the win, but the discipline of the shots and mannerism is which they controlled their shots and they had very good routines when addressing the ball. The 372 is a very competitive score for later in the year. We just need to stay consistent in that range,” said coach Connie Livengood.
GHS will split the squad up on Monday and either go to Russell or Colby to compete.
