Court tosses lawsuit over teacher tenure

andy lambertJune 10, 2015
The Shawnee County Court tosses out a lawsuit over a Kansas law that ended guaranteed tenure for public school teachers. The state’s largest teachers union sued after the anti-tenure measure was folded into a larger education funding bill last year. The court couldn’t determine if the new law was only an appropriations bill, which means the tenure provision could be included.
