Court sets deadline to rule on lawsuit intervention by school district

The Kansas Supreme Court says it will decide by September 21 whether the Shawnee Mission school district can intervene in a lawsuit against the state over school funding. A lower court panel has denied the district’s request to intervene in the lawsuit from Dodge City, Hutchinson, Wichita and Kansas City, Kansas.
