Cold Weather Halts Wheat Planting

Unseasonably early frigid temperatures gripping the Plains have pushed the winter wheat crop into dormancy and halted planting before it was finished. Ag economists say the corn and sorghum harvests will be delayed, but that those crops shouldn’t be hurt. At last check, winter wheat planting was almost – but not entirely – done in Kansas.
